NAM Sponsors the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation for the 8th Straight Year

News

For the 8th year in a row, NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation), as part of its Gives Back program, is honored to be a sponsor of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). Due to the pandemic, this year's newly created national event, Spin4 Crohn's & Colitis Cures House Party, will be held virtually on December 5th. House Party will bring together the IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) community for an inspiring experience incorporating all the elements that make the “party on a bike” so popular – music, energy, inspiration, community and the opportunity to sweat (with or without a bike). Participants will log-in on event day for an intro, then break out for a 25-minute indoor cycling workout or a cardio dance. The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation's mission will be incorporated throughout each activity, with patient stories and stats.

In the past, this event has raised millions of dollars to find a cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and provided support for the more than 3 million Americans living with IBD. Vital funds are needed for research, education and support for the 1.6 million Americans suffering from Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis – two debilitating digestive diseases that affect 1 in 200 Americans with as many as 150,000 under the age of 18. CCFA continues to make scientific advances in the fields of genetics, immunology and microbiology, leading to a greater understanding of the disease.

NAM Gives Back continuously strives to help make a difference by getting involved with various charitable organizations and events throughout the year and is a strong supporter of children and families who struggle with Crohn's & Colitis. Additional charities that NAM has supported include: Alley Oop for Autism, Autism Speaks, Charley's fund, The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Toys for Tots.
